Re: Community Management
Let's be realistic. The bohra community (esp orthos) are likely to be in for a traumatic shock upon the demise of the current dai. Not just becasue of the loss of a "loved one" but also because they will truly be a flock of sheep without a shepard. It will be a real lesson for the masses ...

What if he goes into coma or becomes mentaly incapacited? and the nass is not done? The NASS must surely have been done - however not made public. It would have been done behind closed doors with endorsements from lawyers and/or legal council. Can you imagine the dissent and rifts that would happen...

Danish, Maybe it has something to do with the bank and what it allows. The reason I say what I say - personal anecdote: I have a mortgae - 30 years, and each month was payin x% interest ontop of mortgage payments. Some months ago I actually paid of the loan totally - 23 years prior to the real deadl...

Danish,
Further to my previous post, granted that this is not a very common approach to a mortgage. The vast majority of mortgae holders no doubt are paying off loan installments while incurring interest charges.

Re: RIBA (Mortgage)
Danish, It's quite straight forward. You can open a mortgage loan account but pay off all the value of the loan so that effectively the amount due to be re-payed into the loan is "zero". The more you repay your loan, the amount of interest paid is reduced - so by paying it all off you effe...

Re: RIBA (Mortgage)
Omabharti, Firstly, It IS possible to have a mortage and not pay any interest. It is common for many people to keep holding onto a mortgage but pay it down to zero so that no interest is paid. This just allows for easier facilitation for carrying on a "zero loan" which can be used for othe...

It will be interesting to see what happens.
However, if a flock of sheep loose their shepard - eventually a new shepard comes along - the sheep soon forget what happened in the past and continue to trot along blindly no matter how radically different (better or worse) the new ways are.
