Hur
You said that the Prophet(PBUH) was reading "tahajjud" in the mosque.
In the same para you mentioned that it is better for the tahajjud to be prayed at home rather in the masjud.
So it is better not to follow the Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH) !!!

Re: Taraweh
Is praying Taraaweeh in congregation considered to be a bid’ah (innovation), because it was not done at the time of the Prophet and the first one who established that was ‘Umar ibn al-Khattaab (may Allaah be pleased with him)? Answer : Praise be to Allaah. The view that Taraaweeh prayer is a bid’ah ...

Dear Average Bohra Why this animosity towards Wahabi. Do you really know much about Wahabis. I have stayed in Saudi Arabia for 18 years and over the years I have begun to respect anf follow the beliefs of the so called "wahabis", When I came here in 1986 I was a confused Bohra, with all th...

Re: deedar
Deedar of Sayedna is considered a fundamental corner stone of the Bohra religion, even surpassing the prayers, fasting etc. This is so because the Bohra's belief is that their Maula will save them from the hell fire and lead them to paradise. So it does not matter if you pray or not. So long as you ...

Do these Kotharis have no shame.!!! How can they say the word "substantial" with paltry sums of US$ 50,000!! The total aid to the three countries would not exceed US$ 150,000. How much does it take to beome a Mullah or a Sheikh in the US???? I think we will have at least 2 more Sheikhs in ...

Dear Humble Servant I have read your post. It is quite informative. What I wanted to know was how do I get to the Imam, whos is, per the Bohri's and Ithna Shri, in seclusion. How can the Imam guide us being in seclusion. I have never understood why the Imam went in seclusion. Was it the fear of enem...

I have no interest in becoming a Ithna Shri or Bori Ithna Shri (BIS). I am not at all convinced with the Imamaate logic. I have opted for the Ahle sunnah appraoch, which is simple to understand and practice.

What is one the richest community (the Bohra's) doing for the Tsunami hit victims??? Are we waiting for the "farman" of our Sayedna?? Is there a fund created or being created for these disaster struck people, or are we as usual going to turn a blind eye to yet another humnitarian issue??

Br. Serendipity I gather you blieve the Bohri line to be correct and are therefore following it. Re: which imam after Jaffer(a.s).----for Br. Hussein
Again the same confusion reigns supreme in all the threads about imams and imamate. There are 3 very distinct philosophies resulting from the Imam issue namely the Bohrism, the 12ers and the Agha Khanis. Is this what the Prophet Mohamed (PBUH) came for and suffered so hugely so that after a couple o...

What is the significane of the Dai's position in your eyes. Do you believe the following:
a) he will come and help us in our graves
b) he will take us to paradise
c) without his wasila no prayers are answered.

This creates confusion. Which sect is therefore the true torch bearer of Islam.
I personally think if Imamat was such a core and fundamental issue, there would be Sura's after sura's in the Holy Quran and not some vague references.

I find Hur's attempt to justify the Bohri ( or should I call them Hindu ) rituals pathetic. I could not imagine anyone believing that "wadhana" is an Islamic ritual. His explantion is equally disturbing. If bohri's fall for this sort of logic then we can only pray that God's gives them gui...
