The guardian newspaper does not have a date. Request the person who have uploaded this paper to upload it again with a date section also so that it makes it clear how many days/months ago this was announced there and people were fooled elsewhere

Re: The Concept of Nazr-Ul-Maqaam
Nazrul Muqaam or Imam-e-Zamin as also called is something which is also believed in Sunnis and Shias. It is the amount taken for a particular purpose like a journey, new house, business, illness etc. I asked the same question as to where this amount goes, although it goes to the Imam however someone...

Re: Moula Ni THAALI...
Indeed the thali system has made many of them lazy. Secondly with the thali coming in many small families do not cook as it becomes sufficient for them for 2 meals. thus if a visitor comes in they do not ask him to join for food as they have limited stuff, earlier visitors used to be invited, someth...

Re: Bohra Jamat's intervention in Family Conflicts
There is no intervention by the Amils or anyone from the Badri Mahal unless the person has some influence or doles out money. I have come across divorce cases from known persons in whose case the amils / badri mahal did not intervene at all even though there were on the right side. Although it is no...

Re: Ziarats of Imams upto 20th
Surprisingly no one has given any information on location of ziarats of Imams.
We know the ziarat places of some Nabis and all the dai's but how come we are not aware about the Imams after Imam Jaffer Sadiq

Re: nazar or nazar mukam
Nazrul Mukhaam or Nazar Mukham is also practiced in similar manner by the Shias and Sunnis. My sunni friend calls it Imam-e-zameen. They also collect some amount tie it in a cloth and tie that on the arm. What i know is that this is a kind of Sadqa which is in the name of the Imam and it is not necc...

Re: how shud I tackle with this amil?
The purpose of having a dress code for namaz is that the clothes are exculsively for namaz and are thus definately paak whereas other clothes that we wear outside may not be paak due to reasons like we sit in buses / trains / other places, are exposed to dirt / water in rain etc and it could get nap...

I have still not got the answer to the question Why Imam had to go into purdah? Why is it that the Imam is still in purdah? One Amil Saheb in a bayaan has said that the use of Masallah is not a must. However if one has then he should use it. The bohra organisation has both good amils and bad amils. Its not everytime that its a LENA bank as its called earlier but one should know on HOW to take. Dear Al zulfiqar, Biradar and saifuddin Insaf: All Aamils are no saints and they have no trainings in psychology or they are not ghaib na jaan nar, but when a woman approaches them with marital problems and wants a divorce, they force her to go back to her abusive husband and his abusive family, th...

Re: Bohra couple in dock in the court of law.
Its true that the amils discourage people to go to court as most of the divorces are settled amicably within the community. However there are some people who prefer to go and dance in the court and some amils for sake of bribes support them to do so. I know case of bhopal where the amil had clearly ...

Well, i think its a matter of case to case basis. As i said its entirely on the amil to take action. Although divorces are not permitted straightaway but the community for a noble cause unless the boy or the girl is really intolerable or into unislamic activities like drinking/ gambling. I have come...

Re: Any Help With A Divorce Case
In dawoodi bohras there are no fixed rules for divorce. It is entirely dependent on the Amil and the boy and the girls influence in kothar or with the local goons. I have seen cases where the divorce has been granted in a day by hearing the plea of any one party. Ideally the Amil should listen to bo...

There is a divorce lawyer in bhopal who is famous for creating all types of divorces on the fly. He is a dawoodi bohra and has good ties with the amil also. Mr Tahir is right that the bohra girls are now after materialistic life and moreover their parents also endorse the same view. There is no dowry among bohras and thus the girls have nothing to loose. Re: Divorces among Bohras
Kothar on the contrary grants divorce very soon. I do not know about the wajebaths and other dues. What is needed to be guided by the kothar to the Amils is to strike a compromise. But the Amils do not have the time nor the inclination to do the same as this amounts so social service without salaam....

Divorces among Bohras
In the last few years there has been a spurt of divorces among the bohras. The reasons are very foolish and in fact they do not appear to be no logical or material reason. Most of the divrces are due to ego issues between husband an dwife and between their parents. The parents of the girl also do no...
