Re: How many more Masjids?

Could you define Wahabism?
Then I will tell you wether I am Wahabi or not
It is my understanding that Wahabis are those that take the Quran literally, and a very rigid interpretation of the Quran and Hadith rules every aspect of their lives.

Re: Progressive Muslim Youth .. an Oxymoron?

Well one can read that and feel victimized. What is more important is asking why such is the case in various parts of the globe these days ? As unfortunate as these instances are where innocents are involved, there is no vision among the Muslim lpolitical leadership or the clergy beyond proclaiming ...

Re: How many more Masjids?

Qiyam, I can't help but notice that you conveniently, and interchangeably, use the terms Islam, Muslim and Dawoodi Bohra when it serves your purpose. You brag about conversions to Islam while you disagree on pretty much everything with Muslim First, and Anajmi who embrace Wahabism, and even Engineer...

Re: The so-called hunting trip.

I almost came to Qiyam's defense since there appeared to be no evidence that the Hunting Trip existed. This goes to an earlier point I made in a discussion with Qiyam. Our "experiences" are real, and the fact that Qiyam wouldn't have believed it unless and until an "official site"...

Re: Da'i should be respected as a religious leader - not wo

Qiyam, You are contradicting yourself. If a Safai Chitti is only used while travelling, then "Just as a four year needs a passport...so he/she need a safai chitti." is a false statement. One would only need one for travelling. You have now expanded your statement by saying "or within ...

Re: Da'i should be respected as a religious leader - not wo

Qiyam, I have pointed out that you claimed that the Safai Chitti is a letter of introduction, which is a false statement. You claim that it is usually only used when travelling which is a false statement. If the above were true, then one would request one only when travelling, as one would a Visa or...

Qiyam, "So far everything you claim....I can find actual dawat texts and publishing to back my statement up. " So far you haven't found a damn thing that refutes my real world experiences, and even if you were to find "dawat texts", they would be meaningless unless enforced by re...

Let us cut through the chase and forget the BS. We all know for a fact that the Kadam Bosi times are much awaited, and announced. You guys don't care what's in the Quran or what the intent is, and neither do I. "Safai Chitti doesn't exist", "Raza is voluntary", "Shahzadas ha...

Joe, If you have to by cash, then you can still take the deduction provided you document your requests for a receipt. I am not determining whether someone is mindless or not. I am speaking of the act of recitation without understanding, which my logic tells me is mindless recitation.

Re: The nature of "Aql"

Qiyam, Your thinking is so flawed that I do not know where to begin. Again, your arguments do not reflect reason, just your faith in a human who is appointed by his father, which is a legacy that you and I won't see the "Royal Family" stray from. I am not a betting man, but would you like ...
