Qardan Hasana - By the people for the people

A new scheme has been launched by Kothar or rather its old Qardan hasana scheme revamped in a new version. In this new scheme people contribute weekly whatever amount they can and the same amount is added by Jamaat and given to one person for 10 months. Idea behind is every one gets the sawab of giving qardan hasana by contributing any amount according to their capacity.

In my local jamaat every Friday people from Tanzeems go to every masalla and collects funds, no one is asked individually or any force is applied, Every person who gives gets a token no. and among the contributors one person gets 125k INR. whatever funds are collected, remaining funds are added by Jamaat to come to the figure of 125k.

Scheme has been started in many cities with different amounts given by jamaat to a individual where every one contributes to it.

Scheme looks good till people are forced to part away with money, till its voluntary it should be welcomed.

PS: all other old qardan hasana schemes are running as per their local Jamaats instructions.

Qardan Hasana is not only to cover ones expenses, for that its Muwasat which is given on a non refundable basis.

Qardan Hasana scheme runs in different cities on different terms and condition depending on the local Jamaat.

But few common traits are

1) low amount given to DB's on equal installments without Gold
2) Amount ranging from few thousands to depending on the value of gold is given on behalf of gold kept.

Previously people had to go to Mumbai if they wanted to avail the scheme against Gold, but now different centers are opened mainly in Jamiat centres where the same can be done, this helps people on traveling expenses and risk of carrying Gold.

This is similar to a PONZI scheme under the guise of Qardan Hasana. Every person pays into this with the expectation that some day he will get the big payout, which is completely contradictory to Qardan Hasana where the reward is to be expected only from Allah. Besides, the people to derive the initial benefits are the people who started the scheme in the first place. After a few payouts to the conmen, the scheme looses steam and people go home when they see no benefit. In the meantime some people are laughing all the way to the bank.

People ignorant of the Quran and its purpose of Qardan Hasana will get easily fooled.

yes, the local jamaats are given a free hand in the distribution and that is the flaw in the system. In any town usa funds were collected from the mumineen by the goonda committee and most honest mumineen thought it was for a good cause, but guess what, all the fat cats and goondas of the committee spent the funds in buying houses for themselves which they could not afford .

I am not sure why the ayahs from the Quran about Qardan Hasana were deleted by the Admin. This behavior is similar to the kotharis preventing people from understanding the Quran.

Also, some progressives and orthos are complaining too much over here like whiny babies. Grow up guys!!

That is a sheer LIE. I hope you realize your words and think about it. Admin has deleted post by Aqs and me, nowhere there was intimidation or objection to your post. Aqs merely stated that, any discussion becomes a catfight between shia-sunni divisive debates and one must refrain from it. He did not mention your or any name in particular. In my post, I appreciated your effort to share information of the topic.
