actually Saudi Arabia is banning chess because
1 Queen doesn't wear burkha
2 Queen roams freely wherever it wants
3. Queen is more powerful than King

Wahabiya fatwa is not applicable on Islamic world, so it doesn't matter what senseless fatwas they keep publishing.
Re: Ridiculous Fatwas Of A Salafi From Saudi Arabia.
And how about fatwa of Mutaa a legal prostitution sanctioned by Mullahs of Iran

The whole game of chess is oriented towards 'Checkmating the King'. The despotic Saudi monarchy simply cannot withstand this central focus and has resorted to ban it. Sooner this tyrannical, divisive regime is overthrown, the better. Such decadent monarchies have no scope in the modern world.qutub_mamajiwala wrote:actually Saudi Arabia is banning chess because

A court in Saudi Arabia has sentenced a man to 10 years in prison and 2,000 lashes for expressing his atheism in hundreds of social media posts.
The report carried in Al-Watan says the 28-year-old man admitted to being an atheist and refused to repent, saying that what he wrote reflected his own beliefs and that he had the right to express them. The report did not name the man.
It added that 'religious police' in charge of monitoring social networks found more than 600 tweets denying the existence of God, ridiculing the Quranic verses, accusing all prophets of lies and saying their teaching fuelled hostilities. The court also fined him 20,000 riyals - or, just short of £4,000.
In 2014 the oil-rich kingdom, under the late Saudi King Abdullah, introduced a series of new laws which defined atheists as terrorists, according to a report released from Human Rights Watch.
In a string of royal decrees and an overarching new piece of legislation to deal with terrorism generally, King Abdullah attempted to clamp down on all forms of political dissent and protests that could "harm public order".
Article one of the new provisions defined terrorism as "calling for atheist thought in any form, or calling into question the fundamentals of the Islamic religion on which this country is based".
Speaking at the time the new measures were introduced Joe Stork, deputy Middle East and North Africa director of Human Rights Watch, said: "Saudi authorities have never tolerated criticism of their policies, but these recent laws and regulations turn almost any critical expression or independent association into crimes of terrorism.

It is not true. Yes it did create a controversy like 6 months ago. The reality is as follows:
Turkish Diyanet has a website that people can post questions and get answers. There are 2 or 3 Diyanet employees that answer these questions.
A person posts this question like 3-4 years ago. And another employee from Diyanet posts this dumb answer as a response. This question and answer had been there for 3-4 years and nobody notices until somebody saw and let the media know.
Diyanet took immediate action, removed the employee from that position and terminated his employment. And the post is of course removed from the website.
Thanks and regards,
Mehmet Ulutas P.E.
President
Turkish American Foundation
BTW DIyanet just opened one the largest Masjid in Maryland

And so does the thinking of Abdes/Amtes regarding FGM. Read the posting by Br Oz in "What's happening in our Jamaat"qutub_mamajiwala wrote:it only removed the employee who answered this question.

Atleast Diyanet took some action what did Kothari Goons did in India/Pakistan and Africa regarding FGM
They had no choice in Western Countries due to prosecution to send out letters. BUT THINKING REMAINS TO CONTINUE

Re: Ridiculous Fatwas Of A Salafi From Saudi Arabia.
Reasons are many, but madness is one
Two Saudi twins stabbed their father and a third brother killed their mother. They then escaped, before being arrested by authorities.
Investigations revealed that they are influenced by Daesh ideology of loyalty and disavowal. Also, during the same week, another fanatic who adopted the takfiri ideology killed his brother, claiming that he is an atheist or infidel.
In an earlier clip on social media, a Saudi jihadist said the youth should disown the people nearest to them, as whoever fights religion must be disowned even if he is a father or brother, and consequently killed!
Another scholar issued a fatwa that the person who does not pray is an infidel and should be asked to repent, and if he refuses, he should be killed.
What is notable is the increase of the phenomenon of having brothers carrying out killings and participating in terrorist operations, and despite the difference in those youth’s origins, cultures, nationalities and ages, what brings them together is belonging to a violent and exclusionist religious ideology.
It has been said that the recruitment tactics used by terrorist organizations like IS, which our scholars and Al-Azhar do not consider infidel, is behind this strange phenomenon

Reminds me of the times when Bush claimed that Saddam Hussein was killing babies and had loads of WMDs to destroy the whole world. If only the mamus of the world weren't stupid to believe him we wouldn't be in the mess we are now and now the mamus are still just as stupid.

mamus are already stupid as they are not brain dead.
btw nobody beleived bush, only who lived off on his nations social money, gave their money living in infidel land and living off kuffars money and then sounding like holy cow believed him. more than bush, the poeple who gave thier tax money claiming to be pure muslims are responsible for it.
and anyhow, saddam should have been killed, because he was not practising muslims, a secular and a ruthless dictator killing his own enemy.
so no --no crocodile tears for him like ola musalamno
