So lately I've become close to one of my school mate who happens to be a ustaaz at Jamiyah here in Karachi. I think he wants me to come attend ashura, but little does he know that I'm a secret hardliner reformist. I've squeezed so many secrets from him and I cannot wait to share. Since he has seen the system and politics so closely its a relief to know that the elite that rules dawat doesn't even give a shit for their own guys who play an active role in preserving their hold over the masses.

I sense disobedience or even uprising within their own ranks. He tells me that 80 percent of all jamea ustaad openly swear at kumel younus and his sons; husein, taher and ismail who run Karachi like a mafia. Dawat always favors money over knowledge and hence rich folks have complete power and hold over all affairs. Poor ustaaz are made to work for minimum wage and their respect within the community is deteriorating.
