To express grief towards their master there was an instruction to do away with 'attar, mehndi and paan' during the rituals although this was an integral part of sitabi as the same is observed in memory of Fatema-tus-Zehra a.s. Since the time he has been discharged from the hospital, bohras are instructed to incorporate the rituals of applying mehndi and attar and to eat paan as a sign of expressing joy on their master's homecoming.
