Bangalore is all set for yet another tamasha

The one and only free public forum for Bohras. The focus of this forum is the reform movement, the Dawoodi Bohra faith and, of course, the corrupt priesthood. But the discussion is in no way restricted to the Bohras alone.

It is a known fact that throughout the year bohras INVENT endless rituals to feast on lavish food and 'sitabi' is one of them. From the time Burhanudin saab was admitted in hospital there was a farmaan to observe sitabis on a low profile. To express grief towards their master there was an instruction to do away with 'attar, mehndi and paan' during the rituals although this was an integral part of sitabi as the same is observed in memory of Fatema-tus-Zehra a.s. Since the time he has been discharged from the hospital, bohras are instructed to incorporate the rituals of applying mehndi and attar and to eat paan as a sign of expressing joy on their master's homecoming.

There is no mention of live relay of syedna's bayan, which indicates that he has not recovered, If he is well now then why no live relay? especially with a lot of speculation on his well being for almost one month now?

Lucky draw is lottery. Since when is lottery acceptable in Islam / Deen?

This is not Islam/deen, this is a cult, where a follower is hammered till he breaks contact with reality, where there is only obedience, only following the leader without asking any questions., Where the leader is worshiped like God.

I don't see a reason why you should be upset when people are celebrating the recovery from illness of the leader

I am not clear is Mr. Syedna is leader or religious priest. Religious priest and saint always stay in low profile and down under with all focus on only God. And if he is a leader than he should join politics. Good time to join any party or form one.

welcome to the new form of idol worship, that of doing pooja to a living human being who sells duas and miracles but when he himself is ill, needs other's duas to save him from dying ...

 OMG..amils all over are asking their consituents to deck up for salgirah and offer "fakihira" najwa (pre-defined amounts) and "nuzrul-makam", and if you dare to disobey, moula wont hold your hand and escort you to paradise (one's worldly deeds and actions have no bearing on the final outcome after all, indulge in all sort of temptation and crap here and still enter Jannat..Cool!! eh!!!). I was wondering if there are any leaders among the progressives who would publicily slam these practices and do the community a huge favor by organizing teaching sessions for folks who are willing to learn, seek truth and enlightement. Any course to drift from cholestrol (& kharas, meetas) clogged brain drainers will be appreciated and rewarded. Remember, only a handful tread on the right path.

Jambo, Salaama mwana inchi, this is for east africawalla, I am sure you are not greifing now that your LEADER has come back healthy and kicking. Please make sure to open your wallet. Can you please let us know of any new  schemes for East Africa?
And dont forget to take part in the lottery, first 10 winners get a ticket to haven with moula taking your hand inviting you in.
I have to congradulate the establshment on this new innovation. This new looting scheme started from Sydney, Australia, and now its Bangalorians turn to go to haven.

i am definitely upset that a confirmed syedna poojari like u is hanging around here since yesterday when u shud be wildly celebrating yr aqa's birthday, bursting crackers, wearing new clothes, hogging on gourmet jamans and giving away fakhir rakams in millions?

instead of engaging in acts to show yr love and utter devotion to syedna outside the markaz, u are wasting yr valuable time here on this site???? is this yr respect to syedna or an integral part of yr 200% genuine hypocrisy?

bolwama amir, aapwama fakir?

i celebrate my freedom from dogma everyday. as for yr stand ...do u have a stand..i mean can a sydena poojari actually stand? they are always in sajda to syedna, i've been told?

i suffer from no delusions like u. it is u who keeps coming here to show off yr orthodox and fanatic idiocy on a progressive forum! it is yr paranoia which brings u here. since u have so many extra balls why dont u assert yr bravado on malumaat, zeninfosys, munineen org etc?

Mzee Aussie,

Kiswahili yako sio mbaya lakini mawazo yako ndiyo mbaya kwa sababu wewe una dushmani kwa Molana yetu, kama ukirekebisha uta kwenda Jannati.

eaw, stop trying to buy support by using yr language and whispering in swahili about syedna's dushmans blah blah blah.. etc.

we all know your real agenda in coming to the progressives forum. on the one hand u are a paid agent of goondas and on the other hand u get great pleasure in coming here and abusing the freedoms provided by this forum to come and sow seeds of confusion, malice and dissent.

do u think everyone here is a fool? that we cannot see and understand yr tricks and deceits? remember, being here is a privilege, not yr right. be thankful that inspite of being a blind hate-filled abde, u are allowed here, unlike yr restricted and sycophantic sites like maalumat, zeninfo, etc.

EAW...If criticizing a leader like Sayedna means I am a dushman by your definition then ...Christians, Jews, Hindus are all your Sayednas dushman because they do not agree with Islam as a whole furthermore they criticise Islamic methods of faith, they do not accept Mouhammad was a prophet of Allah, and if they had a choice which was politically correct they would want us to convert out of Islam..I do not see in Bohra bayans we whailing lanaat on 6 billion other kafirs and munafikins

So why is it convenient to treat non-Muslims more favourable, then progressives, Sunnis or someone like me ...Is it that this is a personal issue with Kothar getting emotional about people criticising them directly ?

For those who did not understand my Swahili I was trying to give EAW my view point..and made statements like do not fall for the tricks of these Indians who have come to garb your money and fool with your intellect !

The difference is you were born a Dawoodi Bohra and you are negatively critising one of your own, I am not saying that positive criticism is wrong but you are against the whole institution of our religion.

EAW give me an example when Bohras have postively criticized or encouraged constructive criticism...I only know self promotion and flattery

If you look at the topics covered here you will notice many are suggestions of chnaging the rituals and spending money on the needy...the intent is there may be hidden within the sarcasm
