Khalifa and Siritual guide

The one and only free public forum for Bohras. The focus of this forum is the reform movement, the Dawoodi Bohra faith and, of course, the corrupt priesthood. But the discussion is in no way restricted to the Bohras alone.

he was the leader of ARABS after the prophet pbuh. not the leader of muslims or leader of spiritual guides. just arabs.
So why do you call him "ameer -ul - mumineen" ? And why the heck did the second call himself this?

This is what shias do for unity-

"Hafta-E-Wahdat" meaning "the week of unity amongst Muslims." Mubarak to All Muslims

Ayatullah Ruhullah Musawi al-Khomeini (ra), the founder of the Islamic revolution had declared the week between 12th and 17th Rabi al-Awwal as "Hafta-E-Wahdat" meaning "the week of unity amongst Muslims." Muslims all over the world are urged to get together and celebrate (Eid-E-Milad un Nabi) the birth of Hazrat Muhammad (saw) for the whole week.

why? is there a copyright on titles? anyone (for e.g 52 dai) can have 10 titles but does that make a difference on his self? arguments can be made on this such as atleast until Khalifa Omar's time, the only muslims were the arabs and being khalifa he WAS the "leader of momins". but you only wanna debate on such hollow points. why? did Ali a.s had the title of ameerul momineed patented before Omar used it?

"the week of unity amongst Muslims."
Why just one week brother HUS?

Large number of mainstram Muslims do not celebrate birthdays or commomarate death of personalities.

Here are two imprtant fatwas were issued but never had any traction among preachers and Ummah.

1. Al-Azar Fatwa accepting Jaffary school.
The Al-Azhar Shia Fatwa is an Islamic fatwa issued in 1959 on the topic of Shi'a–Sunni relations by the renowned Sunni scholar Shaikh Mahmood Shaltoot.

2.Imam Khamenei’s Fatwa
Fatwa (verdict) issued by the World Shia Leader, Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, which bans any insult to the companions of Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.) as well as his wives.
Such insults have always been a source of controversy and dispute between Shia and Sunni Muslims and barred them from forging a robust unity against their common enemies, unlike a multitude of commonalities between the two sects.

Good you brought this out. Atleast you acknowledge that Shia leadership encourages unity of muslim ummah.

I think the sensible leaders from either side shias and sunnis are taking reasonable steps to promote unity among the muslim ummah. It is only some selfish leaders or power mongers or the ones who work under Enemies of Islam are trying to create a rift and division between the sects. So please do not generalize your blame only on shias.
