Houston Jamaat plus points

Hi, Everyone here is posting only negative things going on in our community which is not good in anyway.. I know that negative things happen but some positive things are also happening which no1 points to. All Dawoodi bohras are now getting university education be it in eastern hemisphere or western hemisphere... doing business according to rules and law of land as well as working as professionals at fortune 1000 corporations. Besides this, they are also practicing deen and are happy and well settled in life. Only those people who are jealous of the Dawat are laughing at those people who are happy and settled in life.

Let me point out to happenings in Houston jamat
1. Recently, an intiative was started for those people who were staying in rental apartments to help them find a reasonably priced owned house. Jamat was ready to give around $60000-$100000 towards buying of house per family with the family obliged to paying monthly interest free installments to jamaat. The funds were asked politely (no force) from public and no amount was fixed, any amount was welcomed and promised to be returned after 2-3 years.

2. The thali scheme is going on currently and no money is demanded from anyone for the thaali and even the thaali is delivered to people's house by volunteers (and these volunteers are working people). Contribution is voluntary. Many internations mumin students are benefiting from it and have given their testimonial. I personally have benefited financially as I have recently moved to USA and not financially well off at present. All bohri people regardless of their registration at Houston jamaat are asked to take the thaali (no strings attached really).

3. The Aamil saheb here is really lenient. I have a personal experience. We had recently moved to Houston and went to Aamil saheb during Ramdaan for the dues and we told him that since we are not registered at Houston, we will only pay the compulsory dues like Sila Fitra and jaman hub. The Aamil Saheb didnt ask a single question and approved our request. The Aamil Saheb is really awesome, helpful and co-operative. He is also easily approachable.

These are some of the plus points I have seen in Houston. And regarding our Huzural's (TUS) opposition and abuses against him in this forum which is not at all in good taste, I would like to say that because of Huzurala (TUS) dawoodi bohras are so progressed... our DB guys arenever seen on roads during protests against trivial happenings as other illiterates muslim guys influenced by the foolish Sunni Imams, Mullahs, Deobandis do. Still, Huzurala (TUS) is subjected to such abuses and abusing him really shows the progressiveness of all the so called progressive DBs..

What according to you are "Trivial" issues/happenings ? Please specify. If DB's dont come on roads on "trivial" issues then please state as to whether have they protested on ANY "major" and "relevant" isssues ?

Have they or their leader protested/condemned the mass genocide in gujarat by BJP's Narendra Modi led govt ?
Have they or their leader protested/condemned the atrocities on palestinians ?
Have they or their leader protested/condemned salman rushdie's satanic verses for its vulgar abuse of Prophet (s.a.w.) ?
Have they or their leader protested/condemned the mumbai riots engineered by Bal Thackerey and his shiv sena ? Have they or their leader protested against mass corruption in india by the politicians and govt authorities (like Anna Hazare's movement) ? The list is endless........

The only time that they ever protested was when the dai was shown in bad light on an indian TV channel and when Bombay mercantile co-op bank ltd refused to induct the zaadas on its board of directors.

Hence they do protest but ONLY when it concerns their dai and zaadas and refuse to show solidarity when the muslim ummah is concerned. Further DBs are a bunch of selfish, meek and spineless creatures who dont have the balls to even protest against mass extortion and atrocities commited on their own selves by the dai and his zaadas so how do you expect them to do it elsewhere ? All the talks of civility is a nothing but a farce as the said acts of no-protest is not civilised behaviour but sheer cowardice.

now for some simple ordinary questions:
1. what has the syedna done that bohras are so 'progressed'?
2. how many secular institutes of higher learning has he established?
3. how many schools has he established? (not madrasas run inside masjids/markaz's)
4. how many scholarships has he provided to poor and deserving bohra students to attend school/university?
5. how many grants has he provided to brilliant bohras to undertake original scientific research in any field?
6. has he provided any subsidized housing to any poor bohras?
7. has he set up any homes for poor bohra widows and orphans?
8. has he set any personal examples in producing any original literature on islam, discovering any hitherto unknown facts or publishing scholarly treatises?
9. has he encouraged any bohras in the fields of arts, sciences, sports, culture, literature etc?
10. has he taught bohras how to integrate and adapt into world cultures and earn international recognition?

if he has not done any of the above, would you still consider bohras under his rule, 'progressed'?

yes, Huzurala did showed his displeasure in the starting but condemning forever is not the solution... people have to move forward and people have prospered again... what solution accorinding to you will come out if we go on condemning Modi or BJP forever.. Congress is not doing any good job whatsoever.. atleast Modi is doing a good job...

What a hypocritical statement: If that is the case then how do you defend Syenda and Kothari Goons who keep on sending Laanats on Asgharali Engineer and the other 3 Caliphs in Islam ( BTW Condemning = Lanaat in Dawat e Lissan)

Wrong again ;Syedna Taher Saifuddin did support Dr. Kanchwala against Zainuddin Motorwala in Mumbai for election, Kanchwala was running as Congress candidate while Motorwala was from opposition. Members of Dawat E Hadiyah USA (Turab BS and his family and others contributed $ 250,000 to Bush election in USA.

So why they did not protest when Syedna Burhanuddin was banned from visiting Saudi Arabia for so many years and how come they have not protested in Kuwait where the permission to build Bohra Masjid has been denied

Positive initiative taken by Khidmatguzaar in Kuwait.
On the event of 100th Milaad clebrations various schemes for uplifting living conditions of Bohra families and bachelor’s (one who are staying away from family in Kuwait) was undertaken.

• More than 400 maskans (shared apartment amongst working people) were inspected and renovated. Expense was shared and contribution from Kuwait jamat was limited to KD 252 per maskan as required (Its as per my information from social interactions).
• Usually Maskans are stuffed by 8 – 10 people in a 2 BHK apartment, members are surviving on marginal salaries, thus their living condition is very dismal. Leaky walls, no proper furnitire or kitchen utensils etc.
• Khidmatguzaars took out of the way efforts and convinced members to renovate apartments to decent levels, this renovation included paintwork, wardrobe, carpets and plumbing as applicable.
• Fixed set of utilities were gifted to every maskan, this set included; kitchen utensils and cleanliness materials.
• Conditions to avail this facility : All members in the maskan shall hold a valid e-jamat card.

It was majorly the effort and leadership of few devot khidmatguzaar who went an extra mile out of their tiring and hectic work life to enable this khidmat.

Everything is not lost, there is some hope still left. With this example, I m not defending Kothar or Kuwait jamat’s exploitative policies. However in all this dust, good work shall not be lost. We can appreciate such small efforts.
