However, what you say about Imam Hussain also having used his discretion and walking away and subsequently averting the tragedy of Karbala is not what i am saying. That was something that was ordained. Which would proabaly bring us to the point of discussion that Anajmi had once proposed that Shimr and Yazeed too, were merely acting out their destinies.

As for the Shias openly doing it in Pakistan, you can see what is happening to them everyday, unfortunately getting bombed and slaughtered every day

Let me spell it out once again.

Why did Imam Hussain stand His ground and not leave Karbala? The most obvious answer is that because He stood for His principles. But i think what Anajmi said once made a heck of lot of sense, that He was destined to do so.
