FEKU MODI CORNERED !

The following are the 16 questions Arvind Kejriwal posed to Modi (Feku) in a hand-written memorandum, that he read out to the media. Feku had no answers to any of them. This is just the start of exposing the lies of Feku. Aage aage dekho hota ha kya !

1) Should you become the PM, will you raise price of the KG Basin gas, already doubled by the UPA government to USD 8 per unit, to USD 16 per unit ?

2) Why is Gujarat buying Solar power at the price of Rs.13 per unit although Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka are buying at the rate of Rs.7.50 and Rs.5 respectively ?

3) On what basis do you claim agricultural growth at 11% while your own government's statistics says production has declined at minus 1.18% annually and revenue declined from Rs.27,815 crore in 2006-7 to Rs.25,908 crore in 2012-13 ?

4) Would you hand over all industries to a few big houses as two-thirds of SME's have closed down in the last 10 years, particularly in Mehsana district (Modi's home district) where 140 units out of 187 vanished ?

5) How can you claim to have eradicated corruption as it has infested all levels and departments ? Up to Rs.10 lakh are demanded for appointment of a 'Talati' (Revenue Official) ?

6) Why have you inducted in your ministry people like Babu Bokhria, convicted for 3 years in a mining case and Purshottam Solanki accused in a Rs.450 crore fishing scandal ?

7) Why have you virtually surrendered natural resources of Gujarat to a minister who is son-in-law of the Ambani family, with whom you are said to be close ?

8) How can you claim to have solved unemployment problem when 13 lakh people applied for 1500 posts of 'Talatis' recently ?

9) Is not your government exploiting young graduates by paying them only Rs.5300 per month for 5 years on contract basis ?

10) The state of government schools can be gauged by the fact that only 3 teachers teach 600 students at some places. What is your comment ?

11) Medical and Health services in Gujarat are in a shambles and in grip of corruption.

12) At least 800 farmers have committed suicide in Gujarat in recent years as the government has stopped subsidies and not paying support prices. What is your reaction ?

13) Four lakh farmers are waiting for years to get electricity connections. How can you claim 24x7 electricity availability ? Farmers have not been paid adequately for acquisition of their land for industry while the Ambanis and Adanis have got it for just Re.1/- per square meter. Some farmers have not been paid any compensation at all.

14) Despite raising the Sardar Sarovar dam's height in 2005, the Kutch people have not been provided water but industries have been, Why ?

15) Despite assuring Punjab that the Sikh farmers of Kutch will not be deprived of land allotted to them, the Gujarat government has not withdrawn court cases. Why ?

16) How many aircrafts and helicopters do you have ? And who owns this ? How much do you pay or someone else pays ? Why don't you make public these air expenses ?

Compelling evidence that proves Modi ordered the Gujarat genocide

Investigative journalist Ashish Khetan went undercover, risking his life, to interview the men who did the killing and raping. He told them he was writing a book about the glorious rebirth of Hindutva in India and wanted to interview the heroes who had made it possible. Not knowing that they were being filmed, these men boasted about how they planned, executed, covered up the atrocities and escaped justice. They also explain how they were helped at every stage by Narendra Modi, PM candidate of the BJP.

Hitler vs. Modi

Two different politicians in different countries in different eras deliver the same speech. Those who forget history are condemned to repeat it.

Rakesh Sharma aims to show how Modi's image is being whitewashed.

On Sunday Rakesh Sharma, director of Final Solution, the acclaimed documentary on the Gujarat riots of 2002, released a dozen clips online that were not part of the original two-and-a-half-hour version of the film. The film severely indicts Narendra Modi, the state's chief minister and the Bharatiya Janata Party's prime ministerial candidate.

Many of these short films contain speeches that Modi delivered after the carnage, including during his Gaurav Yatra and campaigning for the state election several months after the 2002 anti-Muslim pogrom. Many of these speeches are no longer available online, Sharma said.

Sharma will also release six more clips this week and six the next week, containing more speeches as well as portions of his new film on Gujarat in the decade after the carnage. The short films are all less than 15 minutes long. Click here, to watch them.

'CORRUPT' MODI EXPOSED !!

Doing Big Business In Modi's Gujarat

This story appears in the March 24, 2014 issue of Forbes Asia.

When his son was married in the coastal state of Goa last year, Indian billionaire Gautam Adani’s guest list included the richest man in the country and many a chief executive and top banker and bureaucrat. Most, however, just stopped by the night before to bless the happy couple and skipped the actual wedding. But one prominent friend stayed through all the ceremonies over a couple of days, genial and relaxed like a favorite uncle. It was Narendra Modi, chief minister of Adani’s home state of Gujarat.

Ranked No. 609 in the world with an estimated worth of $2.8 billion, Adani runs India’s largest port, a power company and a commodities trading business. A large chunk of his business is located in Gujarat, and the government under Modi, who has been running the state since 2001 and now is the favored prime ministerial candidate in the national elections this spring, has been more generous to Adani than to any other industrialist there.

Adani has, over the years, leased 7,350 hectares–much of which he got from 2005 onward–from the government in an area called Mundra in the Gulf of Kutch in Gujarat. FORBES ASIA has copies of the agreements that show he got the 30-year, renewable leases for as little as one U.S. cent a square meter (the rate maxed out at 45 cents a square meter). He in turn has sublet this land to other companies, including state-owned Indian Oil Co., for as much as $11 a square meter. Between 2005 and 2007 at least 1,200 hectares of grazing land was taken away from villagers.

The Adani Group was established in 1988 and became publicly traded in 1994. But its real rise happened under Modi’s reign in Gujarat. From 2002 to last March the group’s revenue rose from $765 million to $8.8 billion while net profits climbed even faster. During this period it constructed its SEZ, bought mines in Indonesia and Australia to ensure it had a steady supply of coal for its thermal power plants in India and launched Asia’s largest coal import terminal in Mundra. In 2011 it further expanded in Australia, buying for $2 billion Abbot Point, a coal terminal in Queensland. It also tacked on a hefty amount of debt–$13 billion–more than doubling since 2011.

Gajendra Sinh Jadeja, the 28-year-old head of Navinal village, says the Gujarat government took some 930,770 square meters of his village’s grazing land for Adani’s SEZ. Adani got it for 19 cents a square meter.

The village of Zarapara with its 15,000 residents is one of the largest in the area. When the government gave away some of its grazing land to the Adani SEZ, at roughly 19 cents a square meter, the villagers filed a case in the Gujarat High Court, one of several similar cases filed by residents of other villages. The court in the summer of 2011 ordered the government and Adani to replace that land for the villagers but nothing has happened so far.

In a report last April Narain’s group confirmed the villagers’ complaints–and fears. It said the Adani SEZ had violated multiple green rules at different points of its mammoth project–destroying mangroves, filling creeks and causing land and water degradation by dumping fly ash.

The Modi administration did not reply to repeated interview requests.

Today was the first day of hearing of the matter. Her son Tanvir was present in the court. The state (as was expected) asked for an adjournment due to the voluminous record. Now the matter is posted on the 11th of April.

It is the cynical compromise of all political parties on the issue of Mass and Targeted Crimes that has allowed a Culture of Impunity to Prevail

The cynical and loud mouthed policies of the BJP has reduced the debate of "Punishing the Guilty" Perpetrators to one of 1984 (Sikh Victims) to 2002 (Muslim Victims). That is Because that is intrinsically how the BJP things..tit for tat..

The issue should have been, what of the prosecutions for the Nellie Massacre in 1983, 3,000 Muslims killed before 1984?
Why does BJP not ever raise the issue ? Because they do not care for Muslim lives.
Why doesn't the Congress? Because the massacres happened under their watch. Indira Gandhi was shocked as was the local government but that did not ensure the punishment of the guilty The opportunistic manner in which the Congress deals with the issues, cutting deals with "Sanghi perpetrators" of violence against the minorities has ensured a cynical
distance and disillusionment of the minorities with the Congress.

Before 1983, and Nellie, there was Maharashtra where to kill left unions, the Congress allowed the birth of the Shiv Sena that was in turn anti South Indian (violently so), anti-Gujarati (violently so) and finally as this idiom became most popular, anti-Muslim.

What of punishing perpetrators of 1992-1994 Bombay post Babri Demolition? Congress in power in the state and Centre
ignored the Justice BN Srikrishna Report, did not allow prosecution of the guilty from the Shiv Sena-BJP.

But question should also be "why does the BJP never raise the issue of punishing those guilty for the 'demolition of the Babri Masjid ?"

Why does BJP never speak of punishing the BJP-Shiv Sena perpetrators named in the Charge sheet of the 1992-1993 violence?

Why did Congress promote the guilty policemen named in the Srikrishna Report?

Why are these promoted policemen the most stoic spokespersons of the BJP and Shiv Sena ?

This is the connundrun of communalism and communal politics. Compromise and Protection of Communal forces by the
Congress and Demonfaced Monster of Communal Forces Themselves (RSS/SS/BJP)

Bitter reality from Modiland

The following is an edited transcript of Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal’s speech at the India Today Conclave in New Delhi on 7 March

Everyone is upset with the UPA, and they have decided to go against it. But the alternative that is being presented to us is Modi and the BJP. For the past one year, a big chunk of the media is repeatedly propagating Modi as the best administrator, who governs very well. We are being told that there is “Ram Rajya” in Gujarat — there is no corruption in Gujarat, it is doing really well in the education sector, health facilities have become better, etc. So I too thought of going to Gujarat, to meet people and learn a few things about good administration. So we went to Gujarat three days ago. But the things we observed were shocking.

I want to share some of the things that we saw, which should help you understand why we should not head towards an “out of the frying pan, into the fire” kind of a situation. In Gujarat, we visited many villages. People told us that in public offices, employees work only when they are paid bribes. If you want to get a lower- rung government job, you have to pay Rs 10 lakh as bribe. For the job of an assistant registrar, it is Rs 33 lakh. And people said that if a police officer wants to get a transfer, he has to pay Rs 2.75 crore to the home minister.

Some industrialists who met us said that they have to pay bribes to get industrial licences. For an Indira Awas Yojana house, one has to pay a bribe of Rs 5,000- 10,000. To get a BPL card or to register an FIR, bribe has to be paid. There is rampant corruption everywhere.

Minister Babu Ram Bokhariya was involved in a mining scam and was sentenced to three years in prison. But he is out on bail and back in the Cabinet. Another minister, Purushottam Solanki, was involved in a Rs 450 crore scam. Now, how can corruption be stopped when you have convicted people in the Cabinet?

If farmers came to know about the condition of fellow farmers in Gujarat, then not a single farmer would vote for Modi. I went to Tunda village where I met Abbas, who told us that some goons and policemen had threatened him and his 7.5 acres were forcefully taken over. And he was not even compensated for his land.

A coastal highway is being built and land has been acquired without paying farmers a penny. Those who had been compensated received only Rs 90,000 per acre, while the market rate is Rs 50-60 lakh per acre. And the land has been leased to Adani for Rs 1-10 per sq m.

When they came to know that a solar park was to be built in Charanka, BJP MLA Shankar Choudhury and other party leaders acquired land from locals at Rs 50,000 per acre and later sold it to the government at Rs 27 lakh per acre.

Robert Vadra is indulging in a similar corruption in Haryana. Now, what is the difference between Vadra and Modi? This is Vadra’s modus operandi. They are told in advance if any project is to be undertaken by the government. And they buy land from the people, and later the government buys the land at higher rates.

We keep hearing that villages in Gujarat enjoy 24-hour power supply. But I met some people who said that power applications of 4 lakh farmers are hanging fire.

People in Badi Peepli village said that they get power supply for only three hours a day. In Lopadiya village, there is no electricity. People told us, “Before the Modi government, we used to get subsidies on various products, but that was also stopped.” But, the people there were politically aware. They said, “Our subsidies are being taken away but the Tatas were given a subsidy of Rs 29,000 crore for setting up the Nano plant.” I am not saying that industries should not be encouraged but farmers and farming should also be encouraged. Farmers are committing suicide on a very large scale in Gujarat.

I went to Badi Peepli village where locals showed me a private health centre lying in ruins. It was built in 2003, but it was never made functional. Locals were using it as a garbage dump. Manish Sisodia also visited several villages where private health centres were found locked. In Saami village, I visited a big referral hospital, which had only two doctors, one nurse and three staff members. It was a 31-bed hospital and there was not a single patient, no proper bedding and no medicine. I told the doctor that probably people don’t fall sick here. In Delhi, we have 4-5 patients occupying one bed. In Maliya village, there is a community health centre that has two doctors who visit once a week. People told us that no treatment is provided, no medicine is given.

After the Bhuj earthquake, the then PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee sanctioned Rs 130 crore for a super-specialty hospital. In a record time, L&T built the hospital, but it never became functional. Later, it was handed over to the Adanis, who now run it as a ‘for-profit’ medical college.

At a college in Waav taluka, there are 618 students and two teachers. Guess their salary? Rs 5,300 per month. This may be even less than minimum wage. How can a family of five survive on that? There are many vacancies in government colleges, schools and hospitals.

Modi claims that agriculture grew by 11 percent. We downloaded the figures from the government website. During 2006-07, agricultural production was Rs 27,815 crore. During 2012-13, it was Rs 25,908 crore. That leads to a negative growth rate of -1.18 percent.

It is said that after 2002, not a single riot has taken place. I have a list of 12 riots. In 2006, riots took place near Vadodara, which you may be aware of.

A large number of small-scale industries have closed down in the past 10 years. An industrialist who met us told us that 147 out of 187 factories had closed down in the Mehsana industrial area. So, what is the model? The model is to close down small and medium scale industries and hand them over to people like the Adanis. This cannot be a model of industrial development.

I keep on talking about the relation between the Ambanis and Modi. I came to know that the son-in-law of the Ambani family, Saurabh Patel, has been made the minister for petroleum, gas and mining.

Modi says Article 370 should be revoked from Jammu & Kashmir. One of the important clauses in Article 370 is that non-residents are not allowed to buy land in the state. Modi says this right should be given to the people. But in Gujarat, the land owned by those who have settled there in the past 60-70 years are being frozen and the government is taking it over. The farmers have been termed as ‘par-pranti’ (one who is not a local resident). Many families who belong to the Sikh community came to me and said, “Lal Bahadur Shastri had brought us here. He had said that since Kutch is in the border region, I want you to settle there and safeguard our border. This region used to be a desert, we have made it cultivable. But in 2010, government froze our land.”

Many families who had settled there from Haryana and Punjab told me that they were given a circular, which said that they were ‘par-pranti’ and hence could not own land in Gujarat. Later, I came to know that it was part of a land scam. The total amount of land that was being frozen was about 1 lakh acres. When I asked them about the current market rate of the land, they said, “Now the market rate has decreased, but about four years ago, it used to be Rs 5 lakh per acre.” So basically, land worth Rs 5,000 crore is being taken over by the government.

People talk about security in Gujarat. My team was there for three days and our cavalcade was attacked thrice. The attackers broke the windshield of my car. Another day, the windshield of another car was broken. On the third day, they broke the windshield of Manish’s car. If a CM cannot give protection to a former CM of another state, how can he give protection to the people of Gujarat? When we visited people’s houses and had a cup of tea, the police would turn up and ask us to show our identity cards; they would start interrogating us. I’m thankful to god that I was not killed in an encounter there.

Modi, Media and Terror Threats

The reporting in the media following the arrest of four youths in Rajasthan, alleged to be Indian Mujahideen operatives, by the Delhi Police Special Cell fell even below the low standards the media has set for itself on terror reporting. Forget about the use of the mandatory ‘alleged’ before calling those arrested as terrorists – one would think it is no longer even on the curricula of media ethics. A large section of the media seemed convinced that it was Modi who was the target of these alleged terrorists. Indeed, there seemed to be an almost pathological desire to link these arrests to Modi. It is another matter that these claims were based on nothing.

Here are some samples:

Wali vs Modi: the tale of two poets

On 28 February 2002, a mob tore down Wali’s little tomb in Ahmedabad and dug up his grave. An idol of Hulladio Hanuman (riotous Hanuman) was placed over the rubble. Overnight, the road was tarred and now no sign remains. Wali’s grave had stood outside the gate of the police commissioner’s office.

That morning a mob laid siege to former member of Parliament Ehsan Jafri’s house. He held them off for hours with his licensed rifle. The police arrived, led by K.G. Erda. The police fired 61 rounds at the mob. Every bullet missed. The police could not kill, wound or hit a single person. The mob kept building. Seventy-three-year-old Jafri was called down. They stripped him, cut off his fingers, paraded him bleeding and naked. Then they cut off his hands, then his legs and then his head.

Erda filed a report naming 11 people. He named two men twice by mistake. The home ministry promoted Erda to deputy superintendent.

I agree with most of their action plans in this agenda list, but please do not elect Modi as the prime minister of India because he himself is the criminal and instigator of 2002 riots. I wish people like L.K.Advani become the prime minister they have a clear vision of our country's development.

one more funny news coming from indian media

Yoga Guru Ramdev said on Thursday that he was willing to mediate in case the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) or Arvind Kejriwal shows inclination to join hands with BJP. "If he (Arvind Kejriwal) comes in favour of Modi, definitely, I am prepared to mediate," he said.

The yoga guru who has been campaigning actively for the BJP also claimed that even the AAP was keen on joining hands with BJP.

"They (AAP) are keen to join hands with BJP, their situation is shaky and they have lost the public support," Ramdev said addressing a press conference in Chandigarh.

The yoga guru said he had earlier backed former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on the issue of war against corruption as the AAP leader had set out to cleanse the system, but he regretted that now he has "lost his way". "But he deflected from his mission. Kejriwal raised issues, which Modi raises and for this I had given him the blessings. Now, I am advising him (Kejriwal) that don't make excuses, don't become a puppet in the hands of the Congress...," he said.

Slamming the AAP, Ramdev said, "Till today AAP's ideology, policies and their principles are not clear." "They are themselves confused whether they are Rightist, Leftist or Communist, nationalist or opportunist, that they are, they are not clear. We don't know what their economic policies are, what are their views on foreign policy, agriculture policy, they are not getting time to think on this, as their single agenda is to finish Modi," he said.

He said the poor people who had thought that Kejriwal will be their messiah for them and now they have been let down.
