Final Arguments Complete
On 5th April 2023 the final arguments in the historic Dawoodi Bohra Succession Suit concluded in the Hon’ble Bombay High Court before the Hon’ble Justice Gautam Patel. This marked the penultimate milestone in the Suit, originally filed by His Holiness Syedna Khuzaima Qutbuddin Saheb in 2014 against the Defendant for truth, justice, and the future of the Dawoodi Bohra Community.



The final arguments lasted 46 days and more than 140 hours of arguments were heard by the Hon’ble Justice Patel. The Hon’ble Justice Patel has reserved Judgement. This dispute has affected a million-strong community in India, and beyond – all of whom are eagerly waiting for justice to be served.

i dont think it makes a difference to me per se, to be honest.

i truly belived Syedna Khozema Qutbuddin, and by extention, Syedna Taher Fakhruddin is the rightful Dai.

After a ten-year long legal battle, the Bombay High Court has upheld Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin's position as “Dai-al-Mutlaq” or the religious leader of the Dawoodi Bohra community, dismissing his nephew Taher Fakhruddin's claim.

Justice GS Patel pronounced the judgment today, dismissing Fakhruddin's suit.

The trial in the Syedna succession row concluded and judgment was reserved in April 2023, spanning nine years. The final hearing began in November 2022 and concluded in April 2023.

The judge's decision is based on proof ( which everyone can see and examine ) and not based on faith (which is different for everyone ).
