The daily newspaper Inquilab is reporting the death of Fakhurddin Khorakhiwala, one of the Akberally' founder and Chancellor of Jamia Millia at the age of 93, I wonder if his death will be reported by abde websites despite the fact he was one of the staunch supporter of the establishment. May Allah give him place in Jannah

Shk Fakhruddin Shk Taherbhai Khorakiwala (NDI), Qadeem khidmatguzar and ex-sheriff of Mumbai passed away on 4th Shabaan al Karim in Mumbai.

Shk Fakhruddinbhai had held positions in various dawat organisations such as:

- Former President of Saifee Hospital, Former VP of Saifee High School & Saifee Girls High School.

- Former Secretary of Anjuman e Shiate Ali & Faize Dawoodi Bohra Trust.

Shk Fakhruddinbhai was bestowed the title of NDI by Aqa Maula TUS.

Marhoom was serving as Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia University, in Delhi, since 2002. He was a successful businessman and chairman of Akbarallys Chain of Department stores in Mumbai, one of India's Oldest Department stores.

Shk Fakhruddinbhai was the Sheriff of Mumbai during the communal riots of 1993.

He was the president of the Indian Merchant's Chamber and also founding member and President of the Fair Trade Practives Association.

Today on 6th raat, Syedi Mukasir Saheb arrived to pray sadaqallah in Mumbai on third day of the passing away of Shk Fakhruddin bhai.

Why don't Bohra pray for Shaffaat by Prophet SAW?
According to Hadit he will get first chance to pray for his Umma.

That is the handicap that people like you have. Allah keeps saying in the Quran that he is forever. Instead of asking Him, you choose humans that last a few years and that too those that have been proven to be corrupt and inhuman!! Over the last few weeks bohras were praying all night for the health of their aqa maula. How do you expect shafaat from a maula who needs your dua for his health?

From first Dai Sayedna Zuaib till 24th Dai Sayedna Esuf Najmuddin in a span of 441 years Dais remained in Yemen but they kept on sending their deputies from Yemen to India. A training school was kept in Yemen for training the candidates from India.
Thus even the descendants of the first Hindu coverts from Raja Sidhraj Jaisingh (Bharmal)’s family were patronised and called to Yemen and trained. One Mulla Raj was raised to the degree in Dawat and his son Sayedna Ismailji Badruddin was rose to the post of Dai. After him 34th, 35th, 36th, 37th, 38th, 41st, 42nd, 43rd and 46th Dais that is nine other members of Bharmal’s family were raised to the status of a Dai.
This clearly shows that earlier Dais never hesitated to recognise the superior qualifications of the outside ordinary Bohras against their own children.

This also dismisses the claim that the present incumbents have any linkage (bloodline) from the holy Prophet or the people of his house (Ahle-byat or Imam).
However after the death of 46th Dai Sayedna Badruddin Saheb, the last of the converted Royal Rajput family of Gujarat, the present dynastic rule commenced.

In all fairness to aziz, I do not think he claimed that the Dai is in the bloodline of the prophet (saw). I think he is saying that the Dai is representing the Imam who is in the bloodline of the prophet (saw). I may be wrong.

No shafa'at is possible from anyone, including prophets, imams or dais, on the day of Judgement.

What you say will hold water if our Dai declares that we are not the followers of Religion of Islam and ours is 'Shia Dawoodi Bohra Religion' which is quite different from Sunni - Shia Islam.

We are followers of Islam as being preached by our Imams & Dai. We are Ismaili-Mustali-Tayyib-Dawoodi-Bohras? And Yes we are different from other so called 'Shia/Sunni' belief. This need not be declared by the Dai as it a common knowledge. Now tell us about you are you the followers of same or followers of 'Shia/Sunni belief'
