Dawat-e-Hadiyah (UK) Balance Sheet Year 2008.

The one and only free public forum for Bohras. The focus of this forum is the reform movement, the Dawoodi Bohra faith and, of course, the corrupt priesthood. But the discussion is in no way restricted to the Bohras alone.

Masajid:
A Masjid according to the doctrines of Dawat-e-Hadiyah and the faith of the Dawoodi Bohras, cannot be valued in monetary terms and consequently each Masjid owned by the Trust is stated in the balance sheet at a token figure of £52, being a sacred figure that correlates to the 52nd incumbent of the spiritual office of Dai-al-Mutlaq. As per the Islamic faith, once the Masjid is Waqf (dedicated), it can neither be sold nor can it be gifted nor can it be inherited, hence it is priceless. The title deeds relating to a gifted Masjid is registered in the name of "The Dai al-Mutlaq" a Corporation Sole which is the Sole Trustee of Dawat-e-Hadiyah Trust (United Kingdom).

Qualified opinion arising from disagreement about accounting treatment
As more fully explained in note 11, all the Masjids owned by the Trust have been included in the balance sheet at the nominees' valuation of £52 each (a total of £260). In our opinion, this carrying value does not reflect the cost of the assets or an appropriate valuation in accordance with the Statement of Recommended Practice: Accounting and Reporting by Charities (2005). Had the Masjids been recorded at their original cost, the value of the Masjids and unrestricted reserves would have increased by £18,387,701.

The average monthly number of employees during the year was: 14.

dear accounting professor phoenix,

Numerous forced and unaccounted taxes included in vaaebaat forms are not actually vaajib but they are collectively known as vaajebaat.

Hence proven anything can be included any where in bohra accounting documents and nothing to do witj your international accounting standards.

Please do same argument about vaajebaat forms with your local jamaat head.

Enayat: Outright grants amounted to £2,266,860 (2007: £1,471,847).
if i understand it correctly, 2.26 million GBP almost 5 million dollars were given to help members of our community. it seems quiet an exageration, I have not seen any help given to any mumin by dawat e hadiya, let alone 5 million dollars. Well all dawat accounting is fabricated and pack of lies just to fulfil the legal requirements. there is no moral or ethical values in any of our returns, may it be in USA, canada, or UK. In india and pakistan they bribe the official with hefty amounts.
In all the rhetoric of religion, matam, and so on and so forth, morality and ethical values are their first and foremost victims. How deciet and lies will take us to heaven, that is more than 5 million dollars question. Here Syedna Saheb's eldest prince is the sole trustee, so he is in connivance with all what is stated in return.

Enayats is the cost of the bribes paid to the Tax Offices. With this as a resume, the whole lot can dive right into Heaven. I doubt if anyone of them believes in Islam otherwise they would avoid Haram Khori. This was just a glimpse into their financial life, what other bad things they are into makes me shudder.

one channel is the Dawaat  Hadiya. there are other channel eg cash envelopes, random cash collections, Sabeel whichis local subscription, Ziafats, Najwas etc. the cash system is accounted informally.

The explanation by kothar is b#%^%#t

Niyaz is funded by local members as hosts and pay for the full costs
Wazaef is obtained from local Sabeel
Talimy, I am not aware who ever received it and members pay annual fees for Madrassa at per annum per child for expenses, teachers are volunteers
Enayat the grants it is obvious this is interest free no need to pay up grants to the princes and favoured persons.
Building construction, I know of case some were asked to pay $10000-5000 per family, maintenance is through volunteers and sabeel funds

Does this mean India , Africa and Pakistan wajebat gets collected somewhere else ?
